FOUNDATION ROTY

DAVID AND CONSTANCE YATES

A wonderfully interesting treatise on The Renaissance of the Cast Medal in Nineteenth Century France, in which they trace the history of the cast medal from 15th century Italy to 19th century France.

A comprehensive and interesting array of commemorative and art medals, mostly American.
 

NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM

A marvelous collection of commemorative medals, with images and descriptions, from the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, England.  The medals deal mostly with maritime events, including naval battles.

VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM

A diverse collection of medals from the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, England, including: commemorative, art nouveau, art deco and contemporary art medals.  Also contains commentary on casting and striking medals.
 

BRITISH CORONATION MEDALLIONS

As fine a group of British coronations medals as you will find in private hands published on the web,  from the collection of Geoffrey Cope.

Medaillen der italienischen Renaissance

A marvelous book by Cornelius von Fabriczy that includes images and descriptions  of nearly 200 medals of the Italian Renaissance. The book, available online, is Digitized by GOOGLE. (in German).

A medallic history of the Great Exhibition of 1851, held in London, with images of the medals issued for the exhibition.

This museum at the University of Wisconsin-Madison houses large and important collections of medals, including the Vernon Hall Collection of Renaissance and other medals and the Andrew Laurie Stangel Collection of German historical medals, including those of Karl Goetz.
