BOXED SET OF NAPOLEON MEDALS

Two custom fitted trays in a 27x35 cm wooden box constructed like a
gilt-edged book. One of the trays contain eight medals, the other two
large medals. The spine is decorated with eagles and is inscribed: NAPOLEON
MEDALS.

This set of medals, encased in a false book, was made
for the British market after the fall of Napoleon.

The two large medals in the right tray have a different patina from
those in the left tray and are clearly from a different set. (ex. Dr. Margrave)
