Jean I, Duc de Lorraine (1346-1390) was the son of Rudolf, Duc de Lorraine and Marie de Châtillon. Jean I, succeeded to the title of Duc de Lorraine in 1346. He married Sophie von Württemberg (1343-1369), daughter of Eberhard II Graf von Württemberg and Elisabeth von Henneberg-Schleusingen, in 1361. Their children included Charles I (II), Duc de Lorraine and Frederick de Lorraine, Comte de Vaudémont.
